I’d be lying if I told you it’s easy to write about yourself—because it’s not. Writing about my client’s businesses is much easier than my own. However, this is a business website, so I must push forward and tell you about myself.
I’m a 30+ year advertising industry professional. In the early years of my media life, I was a radio, cable and broadcast television salesperson. I learned about audio and video production, media planning and buying, traffic and programming. I next worked for a small Springfield-area advertising agency specializing in graphic design, print, direct marketing and tourism. These experiences gave me the knowledge and confidence to launch my career as a business owner. On March 21, 1997, I opened DL Media and focused on media planning and media buying.
Over the years, various in-house creative services were added as the business grew. For two decades, we performed subcontract media buying services for several other advertising agencies.
In 2018, I downsized and rebranded my business and, along the way, greatly simplified my life. I still provide many of the same services but to a smaller group of clients. This allows me more flexibility, less overhead, and more time for my husband and grandkiddos.
When you work with me, you get the benefits that 30+ years of advertising experience and business ownership bring to the equation. I’ve planned and placed tens of millions of dollars in advertising over the years and understand the media landscape. I stay current with new trends and opportunities and am passionate about learning new skills. For example, my previous employees were Google Ads Certified, and now I have earned those certifications and actively manage campaigns myself. This allows me to improve client communication and account performance. After all, it’s my job to ensure the readers, listeners, viewers and clicks are the most likely consumers to respond to the ads positively and cost-effectively.
I’d love to hear your questions, challenges and opportunities. I return phone calls, answer emails, and hold the office door open if you’d like to stop by. You’ll always find iced tea in the fridge and a warm welcome.
Blessings,
Dianne
