Davis Joins Ozark Piecemakers Quilt Guild Board of Directors

February 11, 2020

For Immediate Release

Davis joins Ozark Piecemakers Quilt Guild (OPQG) as a board member and first-ever fundraising coordinator and social media manager.

In early 2020, a message was sent to the membership requesting website help. At that time, the website was being updated by volunteers with limited website expertise. Davis sent a proposal and by late Spring 2020, Davis’ team launched a new e-commerce website and Davis had also begun volunteering time to manage the guild’s Facebook and Instagram accounts that had been dormant for some time.

“Creating an online store, updating and engaging with people through social media, applying for AmazonSmile donations, applying for PayPal nonprofit rates and creating other new avenues to raise funds will play important roles in guild fundraising efforts moving forward,” said Davis.

Davis joined the guild in September 2018 during the Celebrating Quilting Show held at the Ozark Empire Fairgrounds E*Plex but didn’t become involved as a board member until early 2020. She also serves as a member of the board of directors for the Nixa Area Chamber of Commerce. As a board member, she’s participated in the 2019 and 2020 Total Resource Campaign (TRC) which is the chamber’s annual fundraising campaign. She’s has served on several committees and regularly provides pro bono copywriting and editing services to the chamber as needed. Davis previously served for twelve years as a board member and treasurer of the American Advertising Federation (AAF) of the Ozarks and served for two years on the board of directors for BBB of Southwest Missouri.
